Rock View Home Stay

The family was super friendly and nice, we enjoyed the best dinner and breakfast during the whole trip in this wonderful place. The homestay is also very authentic. Thinking back it makes us smile.

Fabulous place to stay! The couple running it are the most helpful and loveliest hosts you can imagine. I had breakfast and home cooked dinner and both were plenty and wonderful. The room was very clean and spacious, the setting of the house is on a quiet road, reasonably close to town and only a few hundred meters to Dambulla Rock Caves which are really stunning. They booked a safari to Minneriya National Park for me at a really reasonably price and gave me lots of travel advice and other information about their home country. I hope to come again and stay in this wonderful place!

After a week of travel in Sri Lanka, Rock View was the first place i felt at home. Upul and watsala are so welcoming, the food is bomb, and we even organized a family cooking class!

Perfect stay: Lovely hosts, great room including bathroom, communal area and bathroom with beautiful views, delicious breakfast. It's a very calm area with monkeys playing around in the trees. Next to the Dambulla temple (5 minutes walk). Thank you!

The facility was very clean. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. The host and his family were very kind and caring. If we had more time, we would definitely stay longer in this place.

- Very friendly and engaged owners, we came quite early for check in and immediately got a delicious breakfast - beautiful wooden balcony in the shadows of a tree, sometimes visited by monkeys :) - Great location: within walking distance to the Cave Temple - The owners are really interested in their guests, they sat down with us for dinner to have a nice chat

Perfect location for visiting different sites in the area, rooms were spotless and comfortable. The owners are the nicest people you could wish for. They were very helpful when we planned our sightseeing tours and also organised different tuktuk transport for us. Breakfasts and dinners were the best we have eaten in Sri Lanka and we learned quite a bit about Sri Lankan cuisine..

Perfect stay! Wonderful place, quiet and green. The hosts are adorable, kind and beyond helpful. Honorable mention to the women of the house: a wonderful human being, always taking care of us.
