It provided the opportunity to view a way of life I wouldn't have otherwise have had. Rohit's a great host, and took me out on excursions around the area. Highlights were the school and temple visits, and having a tree planted in my honour when I left.

Power cuts - bit this was my own fault, for travelling in Monsoon season.

I had read all the positive review and it ended it up to be even better then expected !! In great part due to the enthusiasm and sunny disposition of everyone. Probably the most friendly experience of our trip , loved the mornings visit of the village and the school assembly .

It has lots of charm, great views . Romantic diner on the rooftop under the stars with Indian wine 🍷. A sincere pleasure to share what makes Deogarh village special !

A wonderful homestay experience. We enjoyed some wonderful experiences - sunset drives, a tour around the village, playing cricket with the local kids and even a visit to the school for an awards ceremony when we were treated like VIP's. We ate great food on the roof top under the stars and Rohit was a fabulous host. A very enjoyable and memorable part of our trip to India.

Horrible facilities.

After the hustle and bustle of Indian cities it was wonderful to stay with Rohit and his family in the quiet and peaceful village of the Deogarh Hills! This is a very comfortable guesthouse where you really feel at home. The surrounding countryside is wonderful to explore and Rohit took us on a number of adventures in their Jeep to see the sunset. The nearby heritage train ride is a must. We had delicious vegetarian meals prepared at the guesthouse, some of which were completely unique and new to us and super tasty. Rohit and Mayur are great dinner conversationalists.

We stayed in Deogarh Village Experience. We were welcomed by Rohitashva and his brother Mayur with broad smile. They are the most wonderful people. Room was clean and specious. Food was cooked traditionally on wood fire stove. One of the best food we ate after a long time. Needless to say, every staff member took care of our needs. Rohitashva also took us for the evening tea at sunset on a mountain top. Wonderfull location. Unforgettable village experience. Highly recommended

It’s a delightful characterful heritage house with a generous bedroom, extremely comfortable bed, magnificent views, wonderful roof terrace and a charming and thoroughly helpful hosts. We really enjoyed everything they laid on from visiting the local village and gaining an idea of their lives and way of life. Everyone was so welcoming and generous with their time and chai you didn’t feel you were intruding. The food was delicious, the conversation with Rohit and his brother Mayul interesting and informative, the effort was tremendous from a candle lit roof dinner to sitting round the cooking fire while supper was prepared. As you can now tell we can’t recommend highly enough.

After the hustle and bustle of Jodphur it was a delight to be immersed in the peace of the village, waking up to bird song and cow bells. Our host Rohitashva had arranged a perfect itinerary for us of jeep trips and village walks, his knowledge and enthusiasm to share his Mewar culture with us I really enjoyed and appreciated. He even arranged a special jeep trip to look for a leopard and after quietly observing as the sun set we were rewarded with a scene we will never forget. A wild leopard emerging from its daytime cover, preparing for night activities. The staff at the house were lovely and kind and the food gave us the taste of local flavours. Our forward transport to Udaipur was arranged by Rohitashva and was comfortable and smooth. We will hopefully be back and thank everyone at the house for their care and warmth.

A little attention to the bathroom facilities would be an improvement.

Very rural setting. Peaceful and quiet. Heritage style house. Wonderful views. Sunset dinner on the roof was very special. Very cheerful and helpful owner and staff. Excellent food, freshly prepared and generous portions. Comfortable bed.

Shower head could be updated and bathroom cleaning needs attention to detail on all fitments.

Great homestay in a quiet village. Warm welcome by Rohitashva. Good food also. During your stay, you will meet the village families and discover how they live . You can also book activities such as jeep tour for sunset We also strongly recommend the train experience between Phulad station and Khamli Ghat crossing the Aravalli mountains. Such a good trip with local people.
