"Very reasonably priced, comfortable and large room in a beautiful Georgian house in a very quiet area."

Huge warm room, with a very comfortable bed, great shower and had added benefits of a small fridge, microwave and toaster. Wonderful, quiet location which was very convenient for visiting Strumpshaw RSPB. Excellent value for money.

Maybe a bit too warm, and we didn’t know how to turn the temperature down.

"Cheap & cheerful, simple but comfortable room."

Nice location, close to train station which was good. Comfy bed and nice spacious room.

Brown stain in corner of the room on the carpet was a bit off putting. Host/s were slightly unwelcoming when messaging prior, jumping straight to requesting to cancel our booking when we had a question. Never saw any staff around after checking in.

"A beautiful house with comfortable rooms, in a peaceful rural setting."

The room was spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated. For the price, it was far above expectations. The house itself was full of charm and history, with various family photos and works of art on the walls. There was a Tibetan Buddhist theme in evidence, as well as one of Arctic exploration. The cat was very cute too. She said her name was Alice. If I return to the area, I will aim to stay here again.

Very large comfortable room, good wifi, nice clean bathroom (shared)

Don't park under the tree in the carpark. pigeons roost there (is seems by the thousand, given my car in the morning). Smll point I know

"Beautiful room, relaxing easy stay"

Great location and really easy to find. The room was fabulous and spacious with an amazing bathroom. Perfect for a short stay with my corgi girl. Near lots of things to do without having to drive too far. Staff super helpful and friendly!

Floor and sofa was a bit unclean but nothing major to inhibit or dampen our stay.
