Nagarkot Trekkers Inn

Amazing generous hosts who cooked me amazing food. So friendly and the view was amazing!

Just good to know it’s 30 minutes outside of town! (also kept being asked to leave a review including a phone call after I left)

The host Kishor is really lovely and helpful. WiFi is excellent considering it’s on a hill at 1800m elevation. Dinners were delicious. The room was clean (and had extra blankets) and had a great view of the mountains. Kishor made us feel at home and shared a lot about his way of life. He helped us organise bikes and taxis. We enjoyed relaxing at the Trekkers Inn, snuggling a few baby goats and enjoying our surroundings. I would highly recommend the Trekkers Inn if you’re looking for a local and down to earth experience with a a great host.

We used an InDrive to get there from Kathmandu in a heavy rain storm. The taxi didn’t want to go all the way down to the house as his car was electric and he was worried about getting out. The host walked all the way up to meet us anyway and showed us where to go. He mentioned that a lot of taxis would come there. So just be mindful.

I stayed much longer than expected cause I liked it so much. Kishor and his wife are so helpful and warm. There is Wifi and you can use the whole garden to find a nice spot for yourself. There is also hot water 24 h. And the best part are the delicious dinners with organic vegetables from the garden!

Such a beautiful place surrounded by flowers and vegetable gardens and with a fantastic view. I felt so warmly welcomed by Kishor and his wife. They are making really yummy food with ingredients from their garden and can help out with any kind of question. On the first day he even made me a spontaneous lunch cause I was so hungry. On the first morning we got up early to see the sunrise and it was really worth it! Kishor also arranged an Reiki session for me at his friends place who is also a professional yoga teacher. After all I stayed longer because I really felt home there and enjoyed every minute I spent at Trekkers Inn. Won’t forget this place!

The people there, Kishor and his family, make you feel warm and be part of the real Nepal, away from the chaotic Kathmandu. Local food from their homegrown vegetables, recommendations for trekkings, quite good individual room

The food was delicious, homegrown vegetables and local meat. We also drank delicious tea from the garden. The location is beautiful, a little far from the rest of nagarkot but with a stunning view of the mountains.We loved the hospitality of the hosts. They were so kind to wait for us to have a family dinner together, even though we arrived later than expected.

It is difficult to get to this location in the evening, even at around 6pm it was hard to get a taxi.

I had a great stay at Nagarkot Trekkers Inn! Mr. Kishor picked me up at the last stop of the bus station and gave me a lot of milk tea and coffee 😁 he was very hospitable, friendly and he was always available when you need anything. He also cooked really good dinner and i loved it (Nepali Thali)! I had complimentary momo also before i go (super delicious)! ♥️ The wifi at his place was surprisingly good i regret not bringing my laptop, i could have extended and work here 🥹 The view from his place was stunning! The sunrise was great and i am glad the weather was good during my stay ♥️ He was my tour guide, driver, and cook. He can be an all around for his guests 😄 i highly recommend this place for a true Nepali experience. Dont expect a 5-star place tho because it's a very local home, with hot water and basic facilities. But expect more from the level of service that he gives! Highly recommended! I'd love to come back! Thank you for everything!

Nature

The owner is very kind and accommodating! If you want a good sunrise view this is the place for you. This also applies if you want a traditional and local experience with a true Nepali!

It was an amazing experience staying at that place. We experienced a fully local time with my friends and the hosts were taking care of us as if we were member from the family ! We extended our stay for more days since it was really great. Food was also really nice! I highly recommend for any traveller who wants to enjoy the local experience!
