Tayana place

It was peaceful and quiet

Location perfect. Room basic but clean. Hot water. Staff lovely. Definitely for the price - it is really good - the food was homemade and delicious and the family are wonderful. Felt like a Homestay

The front beds to lie on were not very inviting as just old and a few things do need repair and attendance to - but that could be done so easily They were digging a lot to get stones out of sand so I am sure it will all be cleaned up really soon

Friendly people, good breakfast and quiet and peaceful spot

The location was great. All my activities were accessible from their beach front or road. Their menu had the same prices as the restaurants in town, but their meals tasted better. Hot water showers were nice. The area itself was the best in Zanzibar, to me, because there were few tourists and few tourist vendors. This place had the best fishing opportunities, too.

Nothing significant noted. Only that the property has work in progress to make improvements.

Herzlichen Dank an Omi und seine Familie für die Gastfreundschaft und die schöne Zeit. Von Ein- bis Auschecken haben wir uns in Tayana Place sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Neben dem sehr leckeren Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer konnten wir am ersten Abend auch ein hervorragendes Abendessen ( frischer gegrillter Fisch, Gemüse, Reis) und ein Lagerfeuer genießen. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig direkt am Strand. Bei Flut kann man von der Treppe aus los schwimmen, bei Ebbe einen Strandspaziergang machen. Das Dorf Kizimkazi ist zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Von dort starten Bootstouren, und kleine Bars und Restaurants direkt am Strand laden zu frischen Säften und frischem Essen ein. Die Zimmer sind einfach und praktisch eingerichtet und alles ist sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Asante sana!

It is a very nice place directly by the ocean. You have breakfast, which is very good and varied, with a view of the sea at low tide with the mussel and crab gatherers walking around. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. The host family is extremely nice and welcoming. In the evening you can watch the sunset and listen to the waves. You can either have dinner at the hotel (both Omi and his wife are chefs) or find a restaurant close by. The beach for swimming is just a short walk away.

Omi und Sarah sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Es gibt ein sehr leckeres Frühstück, frisch zubereitet und mit Blick aufs Meer. Sehr schöne Zimmer. Perfektes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Es ist halt Afrika, da fällt Strom und WLAN schon mal aus.
