I wish the room has an air conditioning to keep the room warm during winter, but it was absolutely a great experience with a thick blankets💜

Beautiful place! Affordable prices, they accommodated for my vegan diet and the owner came to pick me up when my maps stopped working due to the proximity to China. The family who runs it is very kind 100% recommend!

It can be a lil hard to find in the dark if your maps don’t work so watch out for that!

This was one of if not the most beautiful homestay experiences I’ve ever had, the atmosfere of the place and location are dreamlike, the room was large with ensuite bathroom, the bed comfortable with mosquito mesh, the place quiet and I could sleep well at night. For breakfast I was served every morning, freshly made pancakes with honey and local bananas. The freshly brewed coffee was also very good. I always had dinner there as well, and the staff made sure that I was served only vegetarian food as I requested. Auntie Chai is lovely and really nice to talk with even though using Google Translate. She offered a trekking experience in the area, but there weren’t enough people, she charges about 500k the whole group for a 5 hour tour, which is very reasonable. On the last day she booked the bus for me to Cao Bang, she also carried my heavy suitcase on a push cart to the bus stop, just across the creek. Leaving her and her place behind was heartbreaking!
