English Cottage

It’s quaint and beautiful like a Cottage off of the Hallmark Channel. The surrounding area is beautiful with places to enjoy nature.

No complaints. The staff were so kind and accommodating. They also gave you snacks and water. May GOD continue to bless the English Cottage!

It was in a good location, the outside was beautiful as well. Although we didn't meet the owner for very long we did get to introduce ourselves to him and he was very nice.

The housekeeper herself was rude. Trying to tell me how hard her job was and basically saying that it takes her 6 hours to clean 3 rooms. (I am a full time housekeeper who cleans 5-6 full cabins a day in 4 hours.) I found the way she spoke to me to be extremely inconsiderate. She told us that we needed to go back through booking.com to get a larger room because my boyfriend and I booked a room with a twin bed. (We sleep in a twin bed regularly.) No where when I booked said that we could NOT have 2 people in the room. It did say (which she pointed out about 5 times in our 10 minute conversation) that the room was for a single person, but it didn't say that we would be denied our stay for having 2 people sleep in the one bed. If we didn't know we would fit, we wouldn't have booked that room in the first place. I understand where she's coming from and we did leave and found a new hotel because we were not dealing with all of that on our vacation, but the way she spoke was rude and at that point we didn't even want to book a larger room because we already felt unwelcome and disrespected.

The location is excellent. Nearby to restaurants, shopping and recreation.

The carpets in the stairwell and upper bedroom need cleaning. The kitchen could use a good mopping, too.

I can't think of anything...it was truly a great stay....wish I could have stayed longer.
