Sigiriya Lahiru Homestay

Hiru and his family really looked after us! They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us lots of info and advice about the area as well as taking us for our sunrise hike and to Dambulla cave temples. The room was perfect. Air con, nice shower, and comfy bed. All clean and we loved the big mosquito net! Thank you! We recommend staying here.

A clean, simple home stay. The family is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They were very helpful. The room is as photos show - clean and good AC. There are general stores and a few restaurants close by. The family makes good recos including for cafes with views.

No complaints at all. Just note the home stay is on the main road. The main centre is not within walking distance.

Very nice place run by a family. One of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Scooters (for rent) and bicycles (for free) are available, so it makes it easy to explore the surroundings. Lion Rock is 5 minutes away by scooter / tuk tuk and there are a couple of good restaurants in the walking distance. Lahiru’s family will make you feel like home.

Everything has exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and very comfortable. The family was exceptionally lovely, they cooked amazing breakfast and helped us with everything. If you are staying in Sigiriya, this is the place to book!

The owner Hiru is super, super welcoming. Speaks English well and has licenses to prove his legitimacy. Honestly a great start into Sri Lanka.

Smell from the bathroom was a bit bothering sometimes.
