Sigiriya Lahiru Homestay

We had a fantastic stay at Lahiru homestay. Hiru is a wonderful host who makes you feel like part of the family and can organize virtually anything in Sigiriya and beyond. The rooms are clean and comfortable, food is great and, again, Hiru makes all the difference in the world. I couldn’t imagine a better homestay in Sri Lanka.

Hiru and his family are very kind and rally good hosts. Hiru drove us to the Pidurangala Rock and told us about other things we can do in Sigiryia. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was good! Thanks for the nice stay:)

Everything was perfect!

Nice big room and bathroom. We enjoyed the terrace overlooking the garden. There is a lake at the back of the house that brings in bird life as well as monkeys. Very welcoming family with generous kind nature. Hiru was lots of good advice on what to do in the area. The centre of town is a tuk tuk ride away and they are very easy to access. There are good restaurants close by for affordable meals.

Hiru and his parents are incredibly kind people. Such a warm welcoming. Rooms are super clean and comfortable also. A very good breakfast with a lot of food. Also good location near Sigariya, and busstops. Hiru thinks with you about what you would like to see and helps where he can. Hiru has contacts also to get you a guide at Sigariya if you want. I would recommend everyone to go here.

Hiru is amazing host, very helpful and smiling a lot. He speaks english very good and always makes sure you are okay and you can tell him everything. He also helped us to organise our trip. The breakfasts were really tasty.

Hiru and Family are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. Perfect at the price point.

Hiru is a super host. He always has advice to give you and something to explain about Sri Lankan history. Great breakfast and dinner, thanks to Hiru's mom's cooking!

Everything! Upon arrival we were invited a welcome tea, information about the sightseeings closeby and all about the island. The host knows all about Sri Lanka and is more then happy to share it with you. The room: a bright, spotless, spacious room with a huge (clean) bathroom, airconditioning etc. Breakfast: Very tasty local breakfast made by the mother of the host.. Surroundings: Lion rock is amazing, the one opposite (pidurangala) is more fun to climb as its less visited and has a great view of the lion rock. Conclusion: Don't hesitate, if its available book it and you will have a great stay.

The fact that we had already planned the next days so we couldn't extend.
