Trawscoed Mansion,Central Wing

Actual property is very impressive and it has been refurbished beautifully and is very tastefully finished. Location was ideal for my needs.

Although stated as provided the only toiletries I could find was soap. There is no possibility of breakfast on site so other than coffee/tea you need to leave via car to eat which for dinner and lunch is fine but not very convenient for breakfast. Unable to get a VAT receipt as the owner said it was via Booking.com and querying with Booking.com have got nowhere. Once you add the VAT cost it is not competitive with another nearby 'mansion' albeit hotel we have previously used which does have all the facilities.

Splendid location in a grand house currently undergoing restoration to its former glory. The 'suite' was huge (needed a taxi to get from the toilet to the shower :-) ). Limited facilities. Only one room currently available but an excellent pub just a few miles away. (y-Ffarmer)

What a stunning old building & what a beautiful hidden gem! The owners were so welcoming and friendly & our suite was absolutely stunning. The building is being renovated but it didn't affect our stay. It will be lovely to revisit in a year or so to see the progress. Beautiful location & absolutely breathtaking views from our suite. Highly recommended!

The decor and space in the room was fantastic (and the lounge was really nice too), and the grounds of the location were stunning and very relaxing. The bed and bathroom facilities were very comfortable and nice.

It's obviously a work in progress so some of the premises are still being worked on (this didn't bother us though). The front door was quite hard to lock. Didn't have breakfast there. It was just rice krispies or coco pops if you wanted to eat what was available. The blurb mentioned a "continental breakfast" so I don't really think that qualifies if I'm honest. That wasn't a big issue, but it might not go down well with other guests. The front door was quite hard to lock too!

Suite was exactly to the description and what a wonderful place it turned out to be. Massive airy rooms, super comfortable bed, small breakfast provided and excellent location

Only thing we didn’t like was not being able to stay for more than one night due to our itinerary. Maybe next time

Had the weirdest stay at this B&B. It’s an old mansion house that a couple are renovating, although we were not aware of this when we booked. We entered the property through a very grand living room, went through to the staircase area which can best be described as a building site full of materials, dirt, and dust but once up the staircase came to a very large bedroom which was nicely decorated and comfortable. We had a good night once we were settled in. Suggest they quickly ensure the guest experience is more consistent.
