Odyssey's Pateng Homestay, Cherrapunji

I booked this hotel considering I would pay the rent at the property and which was clearly mentioned in the booking.com website but the owner of the house was demanding money in advance saying booking.com would cancel my booking if I do not pay and cancelled one day before my arrival that too on my call..this is not the way. If booking.com is informing that customer can pay at the property then why they do all such activites?

This was quite good experience staying in Odyssey's Pateng Homestay. 1. Homely atmosphere 2. Marvelous scenic views of mountains and waterfalls from room. 3. Very good behavior of Mrs Phanbuh.. 4. Foods are very simple and tasty 5. Breakfast and Dinner are served timely.

Yes, It was a comfortable stay and the best thing was the location (Prime location at Sohra), Mrs. Phanbuh and her son were great host, severed us a hearty meal, and very very helpful. I wish them all the best for more hosting days to come.

The stay was good, we had all the basic amenities available at the homestay. It is located very near to the market area so you will find everything nearby. Overall a good experience.

The view from the homestay is amazing, and the host is super friendly. The food was very delicious and the location of the homestay is perfect near the market.
