Tetebatu Sunrise Homestay

Lovely remote get away in Tetebatu. The rooms were clean and the family was really friendly and welcoming, showing us around the area. We loved the rice field/waterfall tour. The food was always very good, it’s impressive what they are able to cook in such a small kitchen. We were very happy with our stay.

The bathroom is basic but for the price and the remote location this is to be expected

Die Hütte war sehr gemütlich und wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit mitten im Grünen. Es lohnt sich alleine für Angis Kochkünste hierher zu kommen und ihre Gerichte direkt nebenan zu genießen. Die Reisterassen und Wasserfälle sind perfekt zu erreichen und der rinjani ist vom Garten aus zu sehen! Gerne wieder:)

Souef and Angi are a really lovely couple that make you feel comfortable straight away. The rooms are big with hot water I did the walking tour with Souef and it was great fun! He even taught me a bit of Bahasar despite my bad memory on the day!

Very nice family with very good food. The bed was comfortable and they have hot shower. They have wifi, and offer a very nice tour in the rice field. They were very friendly and helpful. The location was very nice.

Etre au + proche d'une famille indonésienne au cœur des rizières, dépaysement assuré. La cuisine de Angui un délice !!! L'emplacement où on peut faire les points d'intérêts à pieds (Monkey forest, ...) L'aide et les conseils de Sueps.

Chambre vraiment trop petite, dur de mettre nos 2 valises et l'humidité était trop présente. Mais pour 10euros la nuit avec petit dej inclus c'est vraiment très bien !

Nous avons vraiment beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce homestay. Le cadre est magnifique, les bungalows sont confortables et l’accueil de la famille est chaleureux. Le rapport qualité/prix du logement est excellent et rend l’expérience très attractive. En revanche, il faut savoir que toutes les activités proposées sont payantes, parfois à des tarifs assez élevés par rapport au prix du logement mais raisonnable. Cela peut donner une impression un peu trop commerciale et atténuer le sentiment d’authenticité que l’on recherche dans ce type d’expérience. Un conseil qui pourrait améliorer encore l’accueil : inclure certaines activités dans le prix du séjour, ou bien proposer un tarif légèrement plus élevé pour les chambres afin d’éviter cette impression de “tout payant”. Cela renforcerait l’authenticité et la spontanéité du séjour, sans enlever au charme de l’endroit.

J’ai passé 2 jours merveilleux dans ce homestay. Tout était parfait, l’emplacement, la chambre, l’accueil, les différentes activités proposées Une très belle rencontre! Merci

Tetebatu Sunrise Homestay were so warm and welcoming. Suef and Angi were amazing hosts and helped us with everything we needed. We did a local village trek and Suef was very knowledgeable about the area and he also helped us organise other trekking trips in the area. Angi makes delicious omlettes and banana pancakes for breakfast! The room was private and clean with working facilities and a comfortable bed. Tetebatu is an amazing place to explore and the homestay is situated well to see waterfalls and rice terraces. I highly recommend a stay with them!

Beautiful location in the rice fields. Lots of good walking and waterfalls nearby.

Not sure how this got such high reviews. The owners were nice but nothing special just a man that said this is your room. That's it. I tried asking what there is to do and where some nice walks are and because I wanted to go alone and not pay for a guide they just pointed in a direction and said over there and thats it. No free water and food is okay but overpriced. WiFi hardly works in the room and it is hot and stuffy. They tried overcharging me for the weight of my laundry too and i had to see the scales to prove they were wrong. There is a mosque very close by that plays so loudly before 5 am every morning and all during the day and night. It completely destroys a relaxed vibe. I have lived in various muslim countries before and am used to the call to prayer but this is different. One day it went on for hours and hours praying, talking and chanting non stop. I would recommend staying somewhere else more peaceful in tetebatu.
