This place is perfectly situated if you want to build up some excitement for your tour through the national park as you can see buffaloes, mongoose and monkeys from the large balcony. The national park’s gate is a 5min walk down the street. The room was spacious and very nice. The host is a really helpful guy who will provide you with a lot of infos about activities and was always available when I called him. He let me store my bag free of charge for my night in the national park and even offered his facilities when I returned which I found very generous. All in all, I highly recommend!

toooo many mosquitoes, lizards in the property, agree its very close to the sanctuary and this was expected but the owner openly confirmed that he never do pest control and also mosquitoes repent (goodknight) was not provided by him, he gave us only on request. If you are scared of lizards pls do not stay here also we were scared of mosquito bites as it could lead to fever etc.. Secondly the washroom in all the rooms were at height so for senior citizen who have knee issue it was bit difficult to use it, these 2 points are nowhere mentioned in the reviews when you book from booking.com so i would request booking.com to pls include this in the review specially if you are travelling with your elderly parents.

It is a good and comfortable place to stay in Thekkady. Located close to the entrance of Periyar park. They offer a good breakfast and accept credit cards. The views from the balconies are amazing, you can spot wildlife easily. Hosts are very kind.
