I loved the property, the privacy, the plants, the location but the hosts are what really made it the best with their hospitality, flexibility and overall support through the whole stay.

The first room I had was very comfortable but I extended my stay one more night and moved to the smaller room and the sheets were a bit rough and not as comfy bed so if you want a little more softer sheets and comfy bed - stay in the larger double room!

I liked the quiet setting, the greenery and plants all around the balconies and even in my room. The host family were so kind, helpful and welcoming. They gave really good suggestions for trips and booked me a driver for my onward journey. The highlight for me however were the Keralan breakfasts, which were the most delicious I’ve had and cooked with care! A truly wonderful stay.

Breakfast was EXCELLENT, owners are lovely people.

WOW! Our hosts were amazing. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and so, so welcoming. We had a different local breakfast every day and the option of an evening meal too. Such a lovely family. If you are looking for a homestay with kindly, happy generous people this is it. 5 stars 🌟. 10 out of 10. A1. 😃

We loved everything about Periyar Inn 😃

The hosts were very accommodating. The room was clean and the bathroom spotless. We needed to have a late breakfast and the cook made no fuss in making what we wanted.

Just an amazing homestay. We only stayed for 2 nights but should've been more as our 1 breakfast that we enjoyed was so we'll taken care of! We didn't get to enjoy dinner with them (met other people who we went for dinner) but from other guests it was as delicious and all homemade! They are a super friendly family as well.

Everything was perfect. Location was very close to the center , as well as to the entrance of Periyar N.P. The room was spacious and very clean with all the necessary amenities and a big balcony .The whole place was beautiful with lots of plants and very well maintained But above all was the kindness of the owners who gave us all the necessary advice to make our stay to Thekkady unforgettable Breakfast was very nice and they also cooked for us a delicious dinner . Very good value for money

Location was good

In Feb 25 we stayed for 4 days and paid Rs 9068 (Rs 2267 per day). It was meant to be a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony. Yes there was a balcony but the only view was the "rear end "of the surrounding buildings. Is this a decent view for a so called "Deluxe Room? What does Deluxe really mean, is it simply based on the size of the room? The room had no Kettle/Tea/Coffee making facility, No Microwave, No Air Conditioner (not that we wanted one). Does a Deluxe Room simply mean a large room, which basically has what a standard smaller room has? Talk about TV Channels, mostly all local language not English channels, No CNN or BBC news channels, just one or two English international channels were available, many other channels were barred and required payment. With paid meals, for a Non Veg lunch we were charged Rs 300 per meal for One average size fried Mackeral fish and fish curry, papad, rice, vegetable and sambar. Dining out at 2 places, one being the Central Restaurant (highly recommended), the meal with unlimited rice, fried fish and 10 little bowls of veggies, dhal, yogurt, sambar, pepper water, a sweet (dessert) etc, in addition 3 big metal containers of sambar, curd curry n one more placed on our dining table, free for All!!!!. ALL THIS AT A COST OF Rs 200. The other eating place the rice plate etc with fried fish was Rs 220, take a look at the spread of food (refer to the photos attached). Now please compare the rent, electricity and staff costs of a restaurant as compared to a homestay! Food pricing was an absolute Rip Off. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE 2 RICE PLATE PHOTOS ATTACHED

Everything. Lovely family, very cleand and confortable room, the best in India for us so far. Delicious food! Perfect stay. And the house is beautiful
