Periyar Inn

Incredibly friendly & helpful hosts, meals were great. Spacious room, very quiet. Would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here. Walking distance to attractions & Periyar Tiger reserve. Loved all the plants everywhere.

Periyar Inn is a place to stay for a while, take a deep breath and slow down from the busy life outside. It is the lush green balcony setup and the kind and caring people who created this gem that make this place so special. My boyfriend and I got to spend two nights with this lovely family and I wish we had another one to rest and read on the cozy balcony. The breakfast was delcious and we enjoyed chatting there with other guest. We also got invited to a very yum dinner on night, sharing stories with other travelers. We received help from the hosts with any our questions, they were always there for us and went the extra mile. We felt very welcomed in this house and I‘m beyond thankful for the experience. We have had an amazing stay at Periyar Inn! Our hosts were very kind and very helpful. They helped us to book the tours we wanted, and to order a taxi. They also gave us a lot of informations about Indian culture and the breakfast was very good. We would definitely spend another journey there. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property and lovely room and balcony. Our hosts were exceptional...they made us so welcome and we felt like part of their family. Our favourite homestay of our trip to Kerala. Also, a 2 minute walk into town.

Very kind. Friendly & welcoming owners. Lovely clean bedroom. Large bathroom with big, fluffy towels. Comfy bed. A nice terrace seating area with a suspended swing chair. The local people were very nice.

The location was OK if you want overpriced Jeep Safari tours. We didn't want that, so we found very few attractions in the area. There are quite a lot of shops all selling the same overpriced items. There are lots of monkeys around the and the local area.

The owners are so helpful and can help arrange trips if needed. Food was good - breakfast in the morning, they even went to get bread for toast for me. Room is great and comfortable, hot water, good wifi, lovely little balcony outside room, really like the decor and modern. Great location walking distance to Periyar National Park entry to get boat trips.

The bed was slightly harder than I would prefer, but that is standard with India homestays from experience. It’s a little loud with the steps outside and hearing voices coming from the house - however this wasn’t an issue after 2200.

Breakfast could have better. In Allepy we had excellent tasty and healthy breakfast.

It was a great place with a homely atmosphere ta periyar inn. We really enjoyed our stay, will visit again soon
