Its all about comfort and caring. You will feel like staying at your home and no disappointments. If you are visiting Kumily Thekkady then choose it and call Mr Abbas (owner) if you want save some bucks. We are very thankful to him because he helped to cover most of the places within 2 days. Also stay offers some discounts in activities like Elephant Ride, Martial Arts, etc. Thanks Mr Abbas.

We really enjoyed our stay at Spice Cottage. The rooms were clean and spacious and very affordable. But the main plus point about our stay there was Abbas ji. As the owner of the Homestay, he was helpful from the start. He helped us get around and gave us recommendations. For the price point, Spice Cottage Homestay is definitely worth every penny! the host made our stay so special, helped us organise all of our trips, took us to book them and helped with all of of our transport. Honestly the best hosting we have had our entire trip. Would 100% stay again.

Excellent stay at Thekkady. I had stayed here for a two night (solo). This property is located very close to bus stand, market, kalari shows and periyar boating. Good hospitality by the host Mr. Abbas (Owner), he helped a lot for arranging tickets and he took care of all the tourist requirement. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place for stay. Thank you Sir for being a nice host.

As other reviews describe in detail, Mr. Abbas takes a lot of care and helped us throughout our stay by going above and beyond!

The host and his family were so nice. They cared a lot about us and even drove with us to the hospital. Free water and self made juice for our sick friend. The hospitality was very important for them. The room was very clean. We enjoyed!

Warm water was not available even though told and we should keep the room as clean as possible. We need to pay 500 Rs extra for an extra mattress.
