Spice Cottage Homestay

I stayed here one night and this was my solo trip to Thekkady. Owner Abbas was super cool & friendly. He helped me out to plan my day trip & arranged the tickets with a discount(kathakali,Marital arts & elephant bath+riding),He dropped me to all nearby attractions & he was there with me throughout the day to feel safe & comfortable without expecting any extra pay. Clean & comfortable rooms , location wise good choice as the bus stand, kathakali & martial arts shows are in walkable distance and 2-3 km to periyar national park , 5km to elephant junction. Overall I was happy & comfortable with my stay there. Highly recommended stay for solo travelers & families in Thekkady.

കുടുംബമായി താമസിക്കാൻ പറ്റിയ സ്ഥലം. നല്ല വൃത്തി ഉള്ള മുറികളും ബാത്റൂമുകളും. എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടത് അബ്ബാസ് സാറിന്റെ എന്ത് കാര്യത്തിനും ഉള്ള സഹായങ്ങൾ ആണ്.തേക്കടി ടൂർ പോകുന്നവർക്ക് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഫാമിലിക്ക് കുറഞ്ഞ ചിലവിൽ സേഫ് ആയും വൃത്തിയും വലിപ്പവുമുള്ള റൂമുകൾ കിട്ടുന്നു.വലിയ ആർഭാടം ഒന്നും പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാത്തവർക്ക്‌ അത്യുത്തമം. ചീപ്പ് ആൻഡ് ബെസ്റ്റ്.ധൈര്യമായി ബുക്ക്‌ ചെയ്യാം.

Great value and Abbas will do his best to make sure you are comfortable

There were no cooking facilities but really, we didn't ask and I think that Abbas would have provided anything we needed. He brought us water and masala chai. A super nice host.

I and my wife went there, it's our first trip but I could not feel that we were out side of our home. Why because the owner Abbas and his wife were thinked and treated us like their own kids☺️. We got blessed and honored to get these such kind of people's.😍😍😍. We strongly recommend this place. Once you entered in his place, if you need to do the travel, activities and any purchase of spices/chips then he will suggest and guide you.. I could not tell thanks, Since I won't use this word in relationship ☺️☺️.. Based on his guidance only we happily enjoyed the whole trip 🥳🥳🥳.

Host- Abbas & his wife was very friendly. We felt like we are a part of their family. He helped us plan our trip and took us to elephant ride, kalari, boating in his own vehicle. Also the person he arranged for jeep safari -Abdul was also very good. The room was neat. Hot water available. Cheapest &best homestay in Thekkady. Planning to visit with our family next time
