Georges BnB Nature and Lifestyle Retreat

The location was perfect for enjoying Mt Taranaki and the property and grounds were beautiful and relaxing.

Bathroom was advertised as private but was actually shared with the owner, not the end of the world but we prefer private bathroom facilities.

This is a large house set in acres of garden and forest with views to Mount Taranaki and the ocean. Very relaxing place to stay with plenty of outside seating for coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. We had a large room with ensuite bathroom and access to huge living/dining/ kitchen area. Kitchen has stove, fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher and everything you need to cook a full dinner. Tea, coffee and breakfast supplies are included. Our host, George, knows the area well, and had many suggestions for us and the other guests. This would be a great place to stay if you are hiking Mount Taranaki or exploring the region. It would also be wonderful for a long weekend getaway.

Great location with views of Mt. Taranaki on one side and coast on the other. Good common areas and gardens. Owner provided helpful tips for the area. Shower was good. Kitchen was well equipped and various breakfast items available including freshly laid eggs (could see the chickens from our window). Stargazing was possible from the big lounge window as well as outside. Good laundry facilities. Would stay again!

Beds were too firm for us, and we like firm beds, but each to their own. Someone did some post midnight cooking one night, which disturbed our sleep (noise and smell).

This place is a gem and well worth the visit. This includes the private rainforest area. George is very welcoming and accommodating. Great location.

Von unserem Zimmer aus hatten wir einen direkten Blick auf den Mount Taranaki, der uns auch am Morgen mit einer tollen Sicht erfreut hat. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das Badezimmer einfach aber sauber.

Wir waren überrascht, dass wir uns in diesem Bed and Breakfast das Frühstück selbst zubereiten sollten. Das kannten wir in der Form bisher nicht.

Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett war ok. Lage sehr ruhig und Blick auf Vulkan und Meer vom Garten aus.

George hat uns begrüßt, das Zimmer gezeigt, WLAN Passwort gegeben und gesagt dort gibts was zum Essen. Die Küche müsste geputzt werden, der Toast war verschimmelt (kann passieren aber darf nicht noch zwei Tage daliegen), der Rest naja, wir haben dort nichts gegessen. Zahlung nur Cash oder Paypal. Wir können die Top Rezensionen nicht nachvollziehen.
