The house has a private parking lot and a nice garden and terrace if you book the double room upstairs.

The host was socially awkward doing a fast checking and inviting us to cancel at that very moment if we did not find it clean enough. We found that rude and not very welcoming. If you book the double room upstairs, be prepared to sleep in a very uncomfortable bed. The mattress is old and has loose springs that will stick in your back.

It is a beautiful home but not maintained to its beauty. You can't breathe in the bedroom, no matter how much we aired it, the curtain and drapes are extremely dirty and smell of mold. The bathroom also had shaving marks, and the toothbrush holder hadn't been washed in months. I chose this accommodation with the confidence that the negative reviews are from the past and have been overcome, especially since there are recent positive reviews. Unfortunately, they persist. Mr. Rui, you have a beautiful home, I hope you improve the cleanliness. I know you will say that everyone maintains their home as they wish, but when you chose to transform the house into guesthouse, you also chose to offer general cleanliness standards. I know that the island has high humidity, but leaving dust for months or curtains that smell bad, this is not about the humidity. I understand the guesthouse concept and it's your decision how the rest of the house looks, but the bedroom and bathroom that somebody else paid for, and I think you agree, should be clean. Some common areas to work.

The owner is not polite with guests, told us at the end that he was missing some spoons (that we obviously didn't take), the room has mold on walls (pictures attached). We stayed an additional night due to time constrains.

This is someone’s house, so you will be staying with the owner, which does not seem to like guests, but must need them if you are renting rooms in your home. The price was great, but you get what you paid for. This room needs some maintenance. The bed was uncomfortable and the smell of the linens itself was not pleasant for us to sleep. if you need a place for a quick night or few hrs this is the place. We had an early airport trip the next day so we figured this place would work, but the bed just was uncomfortable. Shower was clean and comfortable.

The room was ok , but the bedroom is old and outdated and towels and bed sheets are old and if they were clean they did not smell like it. We asked to use the kitchen and it was like pulling someone’s arm , the owner question what we were cooking, it wasn’t until we said it was something small like eggs that he let us use the kitchen. Then after using the kitchen, cleaning it and getting ready for bed we get a text message questioning where was the white drying towel that was in the kitchen. We never even used the towel and mind you he also had some other people staying in the house that lived upstairs using the kitchen. Why question us at 1030pm. We just did not feel welcome and we were uncomfortable. I would have paid more to feel comfortable which means better bed sheets, towels and a working Netflix tv. The tv seemed like a computer monitor so no nextflix and chill after a long day in the island. It was like a dingy hotel room.
