Riverbench Homestay Munnar, Anaviratty

The place is incredible, with an amazing view from the room. Nature lovers will absolutely love this place, no doubt about it. Surrounded by forest, the property offers a peaceful atmosphere with the soothing sound of the flowing river and the beauty of nature all around. The lighting during the evening blends beautifully with the natural surroundings, and you can also spot many tiny insects and forest life that make the experience feel raw and close to nature. If you’re lucky enough, you can spot beautiful fireflies glowing in the evening. A forest walk around the property is truly refreshing and memorable. The river flowing near the homestay creates a mellifluous sound, and taking a bath there is a wonderful experience. The hosts, Mr. Sabu and Mrs. Mini, were extremely kind, warm, and receptive. They arranged everything very well and made our stay comfortable throughout. The food was excellent and truly added to the experience. Overall, it was one of the best places we have ever stayed, and the entire experience was incredibly amazing. We would definitely love to visit again.

Best place and best host

The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking beautiful flowering trees and surrounded by jungle. The family who owns the homestay are lovely and provide tasty meals and book taxis.

J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour chez Riverbench Homestay. La nature est magnifique, la chambre est très confortable et les propriétaires sont super gentils. La petite rivière juste à côté est parfaite pour se rafraichir. Je recommande à 100%!!

The room was really spacious and the balcony overlooks the most amazing green canopy. A great spot for birding, swimming and relaxing. Sabu and Mini were ideal hosts and the food provided was really good. They even arranged a last minute trip for us (half-day guided trek through tea plantation) without any stress.

Altough , i was suffering from a cold and chronic backpain , i still had a very good time in Riverbench homestay ! Very nice room , great hospitality , good food and good service ! Sabu and his wife are very nice and helpfull people and you feel very welcome at their guesthouse ! I stayed there for 11 nights and it was a pleasure to stay there

We would have liked Some more ripe fruit.

It’s very near the river, just 3-4 minutes away where you can get in and swim around a bit to cool off. The staff and food were awesome and very helpful arranging onward travel. The grounds had lots of beautiful plants all around, not to mention the fantastic views from the terrace. They were also beyond accommodating when I showed up way early before checking time.

Like many accommodations in the Munnar area, civilization is certainly a few minutes away…but that also means no tuk tuk noises or other distractions to enjoying the peace and ambiance of the place.
