Luxury designer period apartment in Old Town by the presidential palace

The apartment was in a perfect location. Very central and safe. The apartment was spacious, clean, well designed, and had plenty of amenities (including oat milk!!). The host was so friendly, wonderful, and helpful. I took the bigger room and it was a amazing. Walking wardrobe, relaxing couch area, desk, and very comfortable raised bed.

I didn't like leaving the key to my bedroom in the apartment whilst I went out. I was really paranoid that someone would find the key and go into my room (no safe box in the room). Keeping the key to the bedroom in the apartment is part of the rules. Lastly, I don't like that cleaning up at the end of the stay (dishwasher, taking bins out etc) is part of the rules. 1. When I'm on holiday I like being on holiday mode. 2. If the cleaner comes after each stay, I feel it is something that can easily be part of the cleaners job.

The decor and the interior was quite unique

Apartment is located in a derelict, dirty squat like building. It felt very unsafe entering, the door to the building is a flimsy piece of temporary plywood and the outside of building is covered in a dirty grime. Would not recommend for solo travellers or women entering or leaving here late at night.

I couldn’t transfer the deposit money via Iban. Maybe some other type of payment can be accepted in the future like revolut pay.

Just perfect! The apartment has everything you need to feel like home. Really good communication with the host Anette and she made our stay truly comfortable. Great location and area.

The property was lovely and huge, we loved the open kitchen area to sit together and have a good time. We found it a real bargain. The location is great. Free parking in the street of the property ja a real benefit too (there aren’t any reserved spaces though!). We were in Bratislava to celebrate New Year’s and Anette sponsored us a bottle of champagne. Thanks so much!

There was an error with booking.com so we haven’t been informed about the 150€ deposit until we asked for the check-in instructions. We found a deposit via PayPal friends& family a little unusual. We had some issues with getting in touch with the property and had to ask for the damage deposit to be retransferred several times. We’ve been held responsible for damage we didn’t cause. The property sent us pictures of normal traces of usage - barely visible and told us it would cost more than 150€ to fix. Even if this is a real bargain we can’t recommend as it leaves a sour taste dealing with inexplicable accusations.
