Emma's Sea View

Beautiful beeeeautiful property! Although, we were being tight ass’s and booked the cheaper room, which didn’t have an air conditioning. We pushed through for the first few nights but after 2 nights or terrible sleep, we ask for an upgrade. The staff were very accommodating, and it was no hassle at all. Don’t be a tight ass like us, book the room with the air con! Sri Lanka is hot!!!

The best thing about this property is the location. It's out of the main drag of Hiriketiya, which is becoming too busy, but it's about 10 paces from the sea on the east side of the bay. This area has nice bars and restaurants. The rooms are very basic but big with a nice verandah to sit out on and see the sea. The beds are comfy with mosquito nets (although with some holes). Friendly staff.

Do not order coffee for breakfast. Tea is a safer bet. No fridge in the room. The bathrooms are a little too basic for the price.

Gute Lage, ein bisschen weg vom 'Zentrum', am Ende der Bucht, leicht erhöht. Ruhig gelegen. In ein paar Minuten ist man zu Fuss am Strand. Grosses geräumiges Familienzimmer. Gewöhnungsbedürftig, dass alles aus Beton ist, aber eigentlich sehr hygienisch. Gute bequeme Betten mit gutem Mückennetz. Affen ziehen vorbei - kann man poitiv oder negativ bewerten, wir fandens eigentlich ganz witzig ausser wenn sie frühmorgens übers Dach rannten oder 1x sogar etwas aus dem Zimmer stibitzten als wir dort waren.

Leider immer sehr spätes Frühstück, meistens erst gegen 9h alles bereit. Pancakes sehr fein, dazu Toast+Rührei, soweit ok, nicht berauschend, kein srilankesisches verfügbar.
