Dirty kitchenware and plates No heating

The location is excellent, 203 direct bus from the city centre, stop right outside. Big room with a double and a single bed, L-shaped big sofa, microwave, kettle. Big radiator. Tea and herbal tea but not coffee (except with milk powder, I don't use animal milks). The most luxurious budget place I've ever stayed. Chinese and Indian Takeaways right outside too (though I didn't try them) and an Asda supermarket the other way for snacks.

The booking told me to arrive between 12 and 2pm, so I came out there to find a coded keysafe entry and never saw any staff. Not a bad thing if it keeps costs down, it was way cheaper than staying in the centre. But I don't see the point of having to arrive so early, I could have stayed in the centre and arrived late. The shared bathroom was excellent with bath and shower. The second day I couldn't see how to activate the shower, which came off the bath taps, there was no obvious knob to switch between them, so I just skipped showering as was in a hurry. Maybe I just missed something obvious. Otherwise, instructions on the wall would be nice. Booking said no towels so I brought my own and soap, but in fact there were towels in the room and soap, and lots of shampoo etc in the bathroom, maybe left behind by other guests. By the time anyone reads this, hopefully those will be fixed. More seriously, the room's doorlock was loose and I could open it with the tip of any key. Definitely needs replacing. That's all meant as helpful feedback to the owner. I would totally stay there again next time in Manchester and there's room for a friend too.
