Rafael and his family are lovely. Always ready to help, super friendly, giving tips and made our stay so much better. We will be back and recommend it to everyone. The location is also great, near Botafogo metro station. Great spot!

The location is fantastic! It is a couple of hundreds of meters away from Batafogo metro station which is the main station in the city. The owner was so anxious to help me and he speaks very good English.

Good value-for-money; in a gated and well-secured compound, very centrally located in Rio de Janeiro so as to see its main sights, and right next the Botafogo metro which takes you to either Leblon or Lapa in about 15 minutes. Moreover hosted by a kind and communicative family.

"A great stay."

The hosts soon felt like family and were amazingly hospitable and caring. Communication was exemplary. The location is great. Security of the property was tight.

This very positive review acknowledges the room was small and I had a shared bathroom, but this also meant it was inexpensive.. would stay here again without hesitation.

Great experience , wonderful host. It s like a mini self-contained appartment above the house. Practically next to the Metro but quiet. Very secure area. Rafael was very communicative and constantly kept in touch. I stayed at another place in Botafogu but this was much better, and cheaper!

The light could have done with being a little brighter, but only a very minor issue.
