it’s in a good location near the restaurants. Affordable compared to other properties and nice staff member who organised bus to the airport for us. Free drinking water.

The photo for the budget room is misleading; we weren’t aware that the wall did not go all the way up to ceiling so you can hear everything going on next door. The people next to us were playing music and talking at antisocial hours and kept the light on all night so couldn’t sleep very well. There was also nobody there at the check in time so had to wait 2 hours before we could get into our room.

Nice spot in General Luna, room was nice. Hosts were lovely and it was close to the town. Walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants too.

We’ve been travelling south east Asia for 6 months and I have never seen worse. We have stayed in a variety of home stays / hostels. When booking a budget room you still expect cleanliness. I’m not sure who’s standard this is to but it’s atrocious. There’s a reason they make you pay in advance and non refundable .. because they know people will leave once they arrive. On arrival couldn’t even find the building and our driver was also confused as to its whereabouts as it resembled a shack on the outside. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our room which was vile. See pictures for details of the dirt of the floor which we were expected to walk on barefoot / use of dirty flip flops (no thanks). I was frightened to even look at the bathroom and realised it wasn’t only shared with other guests but also FAMILY members??! . This was so dirty I couldn’t use it. See pictures. We left immediately and got a different hotel of a completely different standard as we couldn’t stay the night here as well as the dirt the smell of dead animals / mould covered with air freshener. The man advised that we needed to go through booking.com and it was out of their hands, during this discussion it was amicable decision and no hostility. They advised we can request a refund or waver. We agreed that we would pay for one night but not the others due to us not actually staying at the property. Once we sent a waiver request he then declined it and advised the room was as described however dirty was not on the description. I messaged regarding this asking for the refund and when I advised I would be leaving a negative review so others don’t make the same mistake.. he then spammed me with messages ( see pictures). I will upload full conversation to google reviews as not enough space for all the screenshots! Rude comments such as I can’t read and saying I was a liar regarding the room.

Daltans Home Stay is one of the best places in terms of value for money. Rooms are comfortable, and hosts Kuya Jeff and Ate Jess are two of the kindest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. We got to cook and share meals with them as well! My girlfriend, Nadee, and I surely had a memorable time in Siargao, and this place was a huge part of it. -Jared

Staying at Daltan's Home Stay is one of the best decisions we made in Siargao and that is because of the most wonderful power-couple host. They surely made our stay as comfortable as it can get, as if it was a home away from home. The room was very very tiny and humid. There's not enough space to put stuff even for one person yet alone 2. The toilet and the bathroom is really rough. There is a kitchen but you need to pay extra for using gas.

The bathrooms was so dirty and small. Wet all over the floor all the time cause shower the same place as toilet. The room was small. The kitchen was dirty and you had to pay if you wanted to use the gas and cook food.
