Daltans Home Stay Siargao

Everything was wonderful! Jeffrey and Jessie were incredible hosts! They gave us tons of tips on where to eat and what to do. We were easily able to rent a scooter directly from them and it worked beautifully. The room was perfect, bed was comfy, AC worked really well and the kitchen was nice too. Highly recommend !

Location

The property is located fairly close to the main tourist strip. Offers motor bike rentals and tours. Owners were nice and friendly.

The property was okay, was quite expensive for what you got but I think the whole island is expensive. Room was small and wasn’t completely private, the top of the wall wasn’t covered so you could hear the next room completely. The bathrooms are really tiny as well can’t be more than 1 square metre and it was only cold water. We also booked a shuttle bus to the airport with them, which was nice and convenient but when agreeing times we were woken up an hour before our agreed departure, we fully grown adults and don’t need a wake up time especially when it’s an hour before. We were also rushed out of the room early as they wanted to check new guests in, this was just rude as we did technically have the room till check out and getting us out sooner only suited them and we would be leaving at 7:30am anyway so I don’t know why they rushed us. Overall it was pleasant but the end really ruined it for us.

Nothing. I left after the first night and lost my money which I paid for second night.

One of the worst experiences ever made. The rooms look like a prison, stink, and the toilet and shower is even worse (only cold water, shared, and disgusting). The only thing that is even worse is the owner of that place who wants to scam wherever possible. I booked one double room for one person via booking.com. The guesthouse wanted to have additional 700 Pesos for the second person because my booking was only for one person. Considering that this is about as much as I paid for the entire room, this is just ridiculous. Additionally, I was able to show the owner multiple times that the price on booking.com was identical if one or two person would be booked for the room. The staff just said, if you don’t pay 700, we will charge 950 directly from the second person. Obviously, I just left this place. Lost my money but happy that I never need to deal with these people anymore

The sheets are clean, the bed is okay and the staff is friendly.

The room smells like a dead animal. They try to mask it with a perfume spray which wears off when you stay longer than one night. Also no proper bathroom with light and mirror. It's more like a backpacker place.
