We got exactly what we expected. Beautiful peaceful place. Both the owner and the boatman communicated excellently and tried to help in everything. For us, complete satisfaction and living in connection with nature.

"An extraordinary experience!"

10.0

Just like in paradise! Completely cut off from civilization, no phone coverage, close to nature! The facility has only 3 cottages built from recycled materials such as old wood, old windows, etc. There was only 1 shower with cold water for everyone in the middle of the square. The cottages had open roofs so insects, squirrels and monkeys could easily get inside. One of the macaques stole our food :) It was very funny! The cottages are right on the beach, so every morning we snorkeled admiring the coral reef. We saw dozens of species of fish and sea turtles. There are also beautiful mangroves. The jungle around is wild and there are no paths so you can only take short walks. The place is beautiful! There are wonderful people here, locals prepare fresh food (fish, rice, vegetables) and bring it every day by boat on request. From the airport in Padang it is about 2 hours by taxi, and about 20 minutes by boat. But the place is difficult to find, even the taxi driver had a problem. For us it had an incredible charm. If you love nature this place is for you! If you have high expectations and expect comfort you will be disappointed. I really want to go back there!

The place is absolutely charming, wild and free! It's just a shame that the coral reef is a bit damaged by local ships. It's worth paying attention to because it's an extraordinary value of this place!

"Amazing heavenly getaway. Such a special place"

10.0

Everything! This place was amazing and I had a heavenly 4 days here. I was the only guest at the time so had the whole place to myself which I loved. The beach is stunning, the nature is beautiful (monkeys and so many interesting crabs). Aris the guy working there was soooo nice we became very close (and he taught me how to fish). I loved that the place is so simple and there was no WiFi or technology as this style of living allowed me to connect with myself and nature. This place was truly special to me I will return for sure.

The view! Access to kayaks and snorkeling. The isolation.

A little too rustic. Some repairs needed

"Beach huts away from civilization"

10.0

I stay at too many hotels to rate them all, but this I felt needed rating. It was exactly what I was looking for. A beach hut away from civilization. My 4 y.o. daughter loved it, and I loved it. The instructions to get there were very clear, and when followed, it makes the journey extremely easy. The huts make you feel like you are in the jungle right by the beach.

Nothing.

"Tranquil and paradisiac, reminiscent of the old days long gone by.."

Very remote and peaceful in nature. Loved the fact they only use recycled wood and everything they can find. They offer canoes and SUP’s, snorkelling gear and the food is to order:)

The loud frogs:))) Beautiful and overwhelming. They could have a bit more beers in stock:)

"Not the best experience 😔"

7.0

Aris 10/10!! Wonderful young man. He looks after the place for the owners and makes pancakes and coffee for breakfast plus simple maintenance. Very quiet location. Good snorkelling 50 meters from beach where there is some coral and you have chance to see turtles. Good communication with Inop who brought our meals and booked taxi for us.

We knew exactly what we were booking and had read reviews, a no frills, off the beaten path experience, we realised there would be no wifi and no electricity. However the accommodations are badly in need of tlc, there are entrance holes all around the room (including a partly open roof) for squirrels, monkeys - everything to get in, so while you sleep these are also in your room with only a mozzie net between you. So think of wild camping and you are there. We booked the most expensive option, the beach bungalow. There was only one light sheet on the bed, we had to ask for another as it was so cold at night. No towels provided, had to ask for these too. No toilet paper, use the hose next to the loo. Meals ordered are brought over by Inop then served cold later on (we did ask Aris to heat up for us a couple of times and he did, but this is not the common practice). No comforts at all. Nowhere to shelter from rain, and it rained a lot when we were there!! Everything gets wet. Drips coming through ceiling onto the bed at night. The central communal area is uncomfortable and wet too when it rains. We paid £16 per night and compared to other places in Indonesia this seemed very expensive for what was offered in terms of room, so it’s really not good value for the money as it currently is, and the owner should look to invest seriously in the accommodations. It could be so much better.
