A very nice beautiful house with all the rooms very well furnished in the true Thai way.Very cimfortable. The ladies are cheerfully welcoming and help for everything ,from reservation to departure.A very nice stay in a Thailand house and family.

Very unique, traditional and friendly hotel with helpful staff and extraordinary breakfast just around the corner of the main temple.

There is no cool lobby, sitting room or veranda to relax and the staff speak hardly English (but have a translation app).

The entire place is a beautiful teak wood house filled with beautiful old furniture and antique decor. We were very warmly received on arrival. The room came with breakfast. The breakfast is out of this world, taking the word 'breakfast' to a whole new level : EVERY item was exquisitely decorated and presented with love and care.....it is an art-form! We were booked for the late night train to Chiangmai. They let us stay in the cool lounge, rest on the easy chairs, allowed us to shower, gave us free cold water,,,,all much appreciated in hot hot HOT Thailand....thank you very much.

One of a kind experience. We were just stopping over from our Northern travel but this guesthouse was surprisingly beautiful and amazing. Very Very clean and lovely owners.

The breakfasts were excellent. There wasn't any choice - we were served their selection of foods. Food could be Thai or European, always different and delicious, always surprising, and always more than we could manage. The staff were amazingly helpful so I assume if you requested something in particular it would appear. The guest house is beautifully decorated and well looked after with mostly wooden floors, requiring you to remove shoes other than in the reception area to avoid damage to the floors. Location is good - only a five minute walk from the main temple and the river. Ample parking and good but noisy restaurants a couple of minutes walk away. Cost was very reasonable. We loved the whole set up, but wouldn't want to stay for more than a few nights at a time. We stayed twice on our way to and from Chiang Mai. Such a change from modern, concrete box, impersonal modern hotels. The overall experience more than made up for the quirky aspects of life in a guest house, and we will definitely stay again, next time we are passing.

The house is almost a museum of how a society house would have been 100 years ago, which is so interesting. It is of wooden construction and is therefore prone to creaking when people move around. Only two rooms have en suite bathrooms. The other rooms have shared bathrooms across the landing (which creaks when people walk across it). Our rooms creaked all the time when we moved around. There are virtually no cupboards or drawers in the rooms, so we were living out of our cases, which could be difficult for an extended stay. It's a bit Marmite - some of my friends would love it for its ambience and quirkiness - others would miss the organisation and facilities of a modern hotel.
