Stratford House

I do not recommend this accomodation for a holiday. The price was good but the value and quality was not.

There are no staff at the guesthouse. Check in was completed by a key in a pot. There are around 5 rooms and when we were there two were occupied by workers who lived there. The living area and kitchen are shared and the furnishings in the living area could use a refresh. There are marks on the walls and the linens in the bedroom and bathroom are old and thin. The "private" bathroom of the twin room in the public hallway and seems makeshift and not completed - there is no mirror and exposed / unfinished skirting - the sink is airplane size.

Excellent communication and very welcoming. Will certainly use again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

It was very close to town and historic sites ie Anne Hathaways home

I didn’t realise the kitchen ( kettle/ coffee making) was a communal kitchen, and I felt uncomfortable using milk etc that was in the fridge- so I didn’t.

Conveniently placed. Natasha was very helpful and facilities very good.

We had a bit of trouble with the blinds in the bedrooms so left them down all the time but at least it seemed to keep out the intense heat.

It was in a quiet location. Home away from home feeling. Neat and tidy.

The room was quite stuffy. The head boards need changing, smell of other clients sweat, very uncomfortable odour. The bathroom at the end of the corridor for that amount of money was not right. I think it was over priced. Absence of a rubbish bin in the room.
