After completing the booking, they asked me to provide a photo of my ID and sign a document confirming that I understood the terms and conditions. They then emailed me requesting an additional £50 deposit, which I found unacceptable. I attempted to cancel the accommodation, but they did not allow it, and I was charged for the night.

I was shocked when the hotel asked me to pay a £50 deposit after my booking had already been confirmed and paid for. The deposit was never mentioned in the booking details on the hotel’s page. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist refused to give me the key or allow me to enter my room unless I paid a £50 deposit. Since this requirement was not mentioned in the booking, I was very surprised. I agreed to pay the deposit in cash, but the receptionist refused to accept cash and still would not give me the key to my room. I then asked for a refund of the money I had already paid for the booking, but she also refused to refund it. As a result, I had no place to stay and had to return to Heathrow Airport, where I spent the night sleeping on the floor outside. This was a very bad experience, and I believe the hotel handled the situation unfairly. I would like to submit this complaint to Booking.com and request assistance in resolving this issue.
