Not a thing

This apartment is in a quiet and pretty neighborhood. I did not feel like I was in a big city. Lots of pretty homes and gardens!

It would be helpful to provide public transportation maps and a map of nearby restaurants, or suggestions.

I can't speak to this. The description and photos did not match the space. I didn't end up staying. The owners family seemed nice when I talked with them briefly. The owner seemed nice in the messages through the booking app.

I did not end up staying at the location. It seemed very unsafe and sketchy to me as a solo traveler. There was nowhere to park nearby, only 2 hour parking. The lock on the main door was damaged, and didn't seem to lock (it was just a regular room door lock, not an exterior lock), and there were stairs from the main residence into the rental area. The space was not as pictured on booking.com. The area was in a damp basement area off of a garage. The bedroom was in a cinderblock room with little space on either side of the bed. The bathroom was a sketchy toilet jammed up against a shower curtain to a very creepy shower with damaged tile that drained directly in the floor. The living room space looked pretty large. Supposedly it is soundproofed, but I could hear people in the main residence. I decided not to stay. Beware of the non-refundable payment. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos before leaving. I have never left a hotel, room, hostel, or air bnb in my life, and have traveled extensively. I am also very frugal, so to leave a place I have paid for is saying a lot.

The property is good close to the downtown DC , and the room was clean

Sky sent me directions to find my room, and I followed his directions but was wrong room and when I was talking a shower he is came to the room and opened the bath door and said what you doing here this is not your room and told him just followed his direction and I apologised and he understood and showed me my room . But he should not open the bathroom door until I finished then talk with me , he scared me .

It was hard to find the correct entrance; Google Maps led to the backyard, but the right entrance is at the front door. The host was very helpful and gave directions without any delay, though. It is only one room in a big house, no kitchen facilities except microwave and coffee-maker, not even a table and a couple of chairs to have dinner or breakfast, even if you order it by delivery

We weren't able to use the accommodation we'd paid for. When we arrived, the room turned out to be very small, located in the basement with a very low ceiling and small windows typical of basements. The ad offered a normal room with normal windows. This room is in the building above, and they didn't offer it to us. Unfortunately, I have claustrophobia, and I immediately felt very ill. I wrote to the owner about this, and he was very kind and offered to cancel the reservation and refund the money. But a couple of minutes later, a woman came down the stairs and spoke to us rudely and in a raised voice. She tried to convince us that the basement was our great luck, since it was an entire apartment, not a room from the ad. But I didn't ask anyone to change anything, much less give us the basement. I wanted to get what I paid for. We left the basement and rented another hotel, paying another $150. I'm currently in correspondence with the owner, who is sending me meaningless messages that don't resolve the refund issue. I'd like a refund for services not rendered and for conditions that don't match those stated in the offer. Now they've stopped responding to my messages. I've contacted customer support, but they haven't responded either.
