The room was nice and private, the bed was very comfy. The location is great, just a short walk to the metro and lots of restaurants around for a snack. All in all it was perfect for our needs

Getting in was a bit confusing, but we were able to resolve it.

"I had a great time on my trip to Wash DC with my "homestay" in Tenleytown residential area"

Nice view from my upstairs bedroom in a lush well kept neighborhood. My bedroom suite with bathroom included and washer dryer was a bonus! There is a nearby Panera (10 min walk in nice neighborhood) that has great breakfast options. Next to the Panera and Tenleytown Metro stop is a large Whole Foods that has a lot of prepared food options to grab and go or eat upstairs where they have tables and restrooms. The Guapos Restaurant in the same area serves excellent Mexican food and serves alcohol drinks There is also a Target and CVS near the metro stop and if you're a swimmer, there is a very nice indoor pool complex (including jacuzzi) next to the Wilson High School (Wilson Pool is operated by DC) There is a fee, but worth it. Very clean locker room with showers, lockers and hair dryers. Bring your own towel. One more Metro stop from Tenleytown to Bethesda Metro stop are a lot of great restaurants on Woodmont Avenue. Tenleytown is the metro stop closest to American University and they run a shuttle from the school to the Metro Stop frequently.

There was a microwave but no mini fridge. I enjoyed the 10 min walk from the metro stop, but there was a day when the Metro station had to close down due to escalators and elevator out of service. I just used UBER at that time.
