Woodside Lodge

Well laid out room to maximise the use of the available space. Clear instructions provided for key collection and information about the room. Very comfortable single bed, little fridge, wardrobe and little desk with chair. Tea and coffee were provided along with a couple of biscuits. Towels were provided, but don't forget your shower gel etc.

Easy access and clean good accomodation

Quiet, with a safe place for a bike. I was cycle camping and needed a stop. Reasonable places to eat nearby. Was able to dry washing on a line. Beautiful garden.

Not much. Perhaps a longer extension lead would have been handy.

Comfortable bed, good television set up and sky box,

The was a bad smell which smelt like sweaty feet, the fridge wasn't clean inside so I had to clean it the smell still stunk, i think it was the fridge because I smelt everywhere else and couldn't detect the smell

Before moving abroad, I grew up in this region (Wirral) and so was familiar with the surroundings. With Woodside Lodge as my base, I was able to explore on foot the lively village of Irby. I ventured further to the pretty village of Thurstaston and then along the Wirral Coastal Path to West Kirby. A short walk from Woodside Lodge there is a bus stop for frequent busses over to Liverpool city centre. The host of Woodside Lodge was very welcoming and helpful about local eateries and pubs. In fact, just about everyone I met and spoke to in and around Irby appeared cheerful and friendly. Overall, it felt very good to be "home" again! I will certainly try to stay at Woodside Lodge on my next visit.

Accomadation was clean and comfortable, although small it is totally adequate for the single traveller.
