Apartment Maximilian in old Town

Location was good, only a short walk to the old town & bus/tram stops. Supermarket, bakery & cafes nearby. Elevator. Modern bathroom, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer. There were a few issues on arrival, but the owner sorted it immediately.

Blinds need attention.

Location is great. Big space. 2 bedrooms

No wifi. Was loud due to construction not owners fault

Emil tried to contact us around 6.30pm to tell us he was no longer meeting us and we missed his messages, however we were on a train from 5.30pm and the internet was intermittent. We hadn’t heard anything more from him by 5.30pm (when we last checked our emails/messages) and so presumed we were still meeting at 7.40pm. Perhaps we should have checked again on arriving in Innsbruck but a host has never changed plans so last-minute and we were preoccupied with transporting our luggage/finding the apartment, hence the confusion on arrival. When he came, his argument that the problem was him having to come after 6.30pm, when we’d already agreed 7.40pm, was also confusing (and frustrating), as he’d never expressed any issue with this before. Undoubtedly we were wrong in ignoring the extra payments needed; we saw reviews from previous customers saying he’d not charged some and thought they were no longer required, which was remiss. Nonetheless, how he treated us was appalling – both in the way he SHOUTED at us, implicitly threatening to deny us the accommodation we had paid for, and making my almost-70-year-old wife stand outside with the luggage while my daughter and I got the deposit. He also had a problem with our accent and kept nastily telling us to “stop using dialect and use proper English”. We don’t believe his statement that there have been no problems communicating with customers before; many people rely on Wi-Fi and don’t use data roaming when travelling as it can be expensive, hence the need to let them know of any changes with a decent amount of notice and not just over an hour before. There were faults on both sides but some were his and it was not "disrespectful" (we're not children) to share our frustration – his reaction was aggressive and scary. The fact he responded to this review calling us drunk (A COMPLETE LIE) shows his true nature, neither are we "uncultured". And 7.40pm is hardly "late hours".

It's a great apartment, very well kept and the host is very sweet and helpful! The location is great and very close to all the attractions in Innsbruck. We were 4 of us and enjoyed our stay at Innsbruck.

Very comfortable and excellent location (close to city center but still tucked away and quiet). Clean apartment with high quality amenities. Great communication from the host, who made our stay even better. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The host (Emil) was very helpful with all the check-in process, car park along with the nice restuarant, bakery, and supermarket nearby. The location is excellent!

Helpful host who let us check in early. Lovely location close to the centre of Innsbruck near the river. Great to have a proper bed for the kids and not a sofa bed.

Perfect location for a visit to Innsbruck. Close to the city center and just a short travel to the airport with the bus (frequent connection). Apartment is clean and equipped with kitchen and washing machine. Friendly, helpful host. Easy check-in and check-out. Good value for money.

Television in both rooms as a suggestion so kids and parents can watch tv simultaneously.
