Apartment Kurt

Ok, here is an updated and honest review for Apartment Kurt. I have read the previous reviews, so I feel it only fair to address some of those issues for future guests: Apartment Kurt is owned by the adjacent Hotel. This affords you the Amenities of the hotel such as the Dry sauna and the theater and the concierge service which can assist you with booking day trips and the like. To start with the positive, it is in a great location. The street is filed with shops, restaurants and cafes. You are a short walk from all of the old town places. A few steps down there is a grocery store for shopping. Now, to address the concerns of previous reviews: It is important to understand that this is a small apartment. By European standards, it’s average but by U.S. standards it is small. There are two bedrooms which are actually large and both have a dresser and sofas with ample room. That’s basically it. The kitchen is small and has a table for 4 people maximum. There is a small patio in the back but not much there for sitting out. There is one Bathroom. This bathroom has been recently renovated and it is nice and it was clean. The apartment is old but that is normal here. The apartment was generally clean but it is old and could use a little paint touch-up here and there, but it was fine. There was nothing bad about it but it is an old apartment, so understand that and you will have a nice time. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This apartment is for a max of 4 people. Don’t plan to stay in or have more because you will not enjoy it. Go out and explore the beautiful city of Salzburg.

Location is great. WiFi was great.

No oven or microwave

The location was amazing. The rooms were larger than expected. The bathroom seemed like it had been updated, so that was nice. Small fridge, sink, and stovetop were nice.

The VCR didn't work, so no movies could be watched, even though there were a TON available.

Great location close to everything we wanted to see.

Location is great, and you can park car next to apartment. The apartment size is very big. The check inn is nice with the help from neighbour hotel reception desk.

The kitchen utensils were too sparse, not enough for serious cooking and electric spiral cookers are too slow. Some of the kitchen utensil were not cleaned and were suitable for throwing away due to age. We had small problem with removing the apartment key from door lock, because it goes out only at 90 degrees.
