The Old Federal Coffee Palace

Amazing accommodations in the center of Launceston. Super spacious apartment with all major attractions walkable. We loved the decor especially the world atlas in the dining room and comics. We spent 2 nights here but 1 week would have been better based on how we loved Launceston and the accommodations. Bonus for the secure private parking space. Mal was easy to communicate with and super friendly. Thanks!

The location was perfect. The apartment was very comfortable and very clean. Mal is so easy to communicate with and nothing was a bother for him.

No shower shelf in the ensuite bathroom shower. (A first world problem!)

Awesome little place

One of the most exceptional places we have ever stayed. Two bedrooms one with ensuite, spacious kitchen fully equipped with latest equipment and gadgets such as pod coffee machine complete with a reasonable supply of coffee pods, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, etc. Comfortable beds, separate dining room, lounge with large flatscreen TV and Wifi access - we couldn’t ask for more. The property is located right in the middle of Launceston with private secure parking and easy access.

No where to put you suitcases. Toilet roll holder in ensuite broken.

Location was excellent, in the heart of Launceston.

No instructions in the apartment about the wi-fi code. Had to bring in a modem. No instructions about the Dyson fan in the large bedroom and could not find the remote. No fan at all in the smaller bedroom. Both rooms were stuffy as they do not have windows. The air-conditioning in the living room made no difference to the air quality in the bedrooms during a humid three day stay. The apartment would benefit from the usual how-to guide that most hosts offer and better communication. There was no apology from the host after I complained. No help whatsoever from Booking.com. I slept the final night on the sofa in the living room because it was the only space in the apartment with fresh air.

Says something when the only issue was a loose toilet roll holder in the spare bathroom!
