Quiet location. Historic accommodation

With rustic and historic surroundings this property offers a relaxing break from fast paced city life. The accommodation is in historic buildings (a book explains the detailed history). Well appointed with plenty of everyday supplies provided. Normal mobile coverage is poor or non-existent, but thankfully an effective and fast wifi connection is available. Recommended for a nice change. Super friendly hosts (and Monet the dog) live on the property.

Like any rural setting the bugs can be a nuisance -areoguard is supplied. Some stairs would be difficult for older people.

So we actually stayed in Le Var not the Gate House. We loved the grounds, the history, the peace and serenity and our cute room with the very generous, modern ensuite.

Loved the setting, the beautiful historic houses and the animals. The host met us on arrival to help us get into the room. Close to both Toodyay and Northam to go for a meal.

Had trouble getting the house warm, but to be expected in an old historic building.
