A Cozy & Lux Apt Next to Southern Cross Station

The location is great and the views from the apartment are fantastic. The apartment itself is quite new and modern.

There was no one to greet us at the apartment location on check-in. The host refused to answer their phone or respond to multiple text messages which meant that we were stuck outside. We eventually worked out that key pick up was actually at a different address further down the street. The host wanted us to register with an external site before check-in and used direct text messaging to communicate, separate to the Booking.com system. There is a TV but it is not connected to anything - it has no aerial and there is no wifi in the apartment. The microwave is on a high shelf and not plugged in so it needs to be moved to be used. The bed springs sound broken. There was a missing globe in the bedroom lamp. The front door gets stuck and needs to be quite firmly pushed to get it open. There is a steep $500 deposit. We were then instructed to take out the rubbish after check-out even though there is a $119 cleaning fee. We were also threatened with a _fine_ if we did not check-out on time.

Great location, easy to find building, once you knew what you were looking for. Great view! Very quiet considering right next to southern cross station! Cute stickers and quotes around the room.

Very poor communication with hosts. Last minute instructions to get a key, despite initial instructions telling me my host would meet me. Bed was very uncomfortable! Cheap home brand body wash and shampoo was provided. No TV channels, no wifi. Last minute message to take the rubbish with us but no instructions as to where the rubbish shoot in the building was located. Also a $500 damage deposit seems steep, I was worried I would not get it back.

Great location with station and tram nearby! Facilities are more than we expected. Washing machine and dryer, cooking utensils, oven, dish washer…. also provide daily necessities like shampoo and tissue paper. And the lounge in the building is great too! We visited the gym room and swimming pool, all are clean and in good condition. But you need to register at the lobby first to get access to the lounge.

If there is wifi I will give a 10 in scoring.

Great location - easy access to trams, trains and busses close by.

Apartment wasn’t ready at the stated check-in time. Dirty towel with make up all over it in the bathroom on arrival. Non functional tv unless you are able to use your own hotspot. No hygiene bin in the bathroom. No fully size bin for standard rubbish - only bathroom bin size available.
