No cancelation policy, General run down appearance and the WiFi was useless

Great location, easy walk to main areas. Good price. Self-contained. Immediate hot water. Air conditioning in living are and main bedroom, fan in kitchen. Comfortable furnishings, even though old and not coordinated.

It was clean for my stay but quite poorly maintained. Two screen doors and one entrance door were broken or not aligned. I was told that bedroom blinds did not work, but all blinds were grimy and old and I did not touch them. Needs a few more ‘luxuries’ like TWO bedside lamps (only one on wrong side of bed) and it is VITAL to have a towel rail/hooks and a shelf in laundry room where the handbasin is.

No breakfast is included. Super market down the road has most things you need so in my apartment and I think all of them, kitchens and pots/pans are provided. You have to make due a bit with things you might be used to having. It's fun to improvise and the world doesn't end if you don't have every morning what you might have at home.

It rained most of the time I was there but I still had a fantastic time. It is beautiful on Christmas Island, the people, the scenery, the crabs, the nature walks, the sea, the birds. I love everything about it but I think without the host Nigel and his fiance Rose and another guest wh;o was there, I might not have enjoyed it quite as much as I did. But I seem to make new friends and meet people in my travels, Nigel would be there so really, he attracts others. Nigel is one of those wonderful unique Australians you will ever meet, you just can't help but like him. He is funny, kind, friendly, sometimes scatty and forgetful. So am I so we were a good team. I felt quite sad when I left after a wonderful week. He is very thoughtful, one of his guests had a birthday and he provided a huge meal he cooked for the special birthday and invited everyone in the units, everyone came and had a ball. Did I say he is generous? He very much is. It is not the Hilton but I don't care to stay at huge hotels that are fancy and found in every major city. I travel a lot so price is important to me. Wifi is excellent at Nigel's and free. Location is excellent. Refrigerator, stove, all dishes one needs, all there for use of the guest. Thanks Nigel and Rose. I had a great time and maybe one day I'll see you again.

Nigel picked us up from the airport & gave us an orientation tour. The welcome was warm & our holiday felt like we were visiting friends because he goes above & beyond to add value to our experience. Thanks Nigel.

Because of age of the building, a few areas need attention or repair but for space & comfort & inclusions like a washing machine, you can't find a better value for money stay.

The atmosphere and hospitality displayed from Ruby & Nigel was next to none!
