SEAVIEWS Oak Beach

The hosts were excellent - very thoughtful and attentive. The accommodation has everything you need. We initially booked this as a quiet rest spot but quickly discovered that it's not that far from Port Douglas and even better given how peaceful it is. The views from the room and balcony are amazing. We can recommend the pizza and beer made by the host Richard and the outside fire they light on the last night (weather permitting) is beautiful. All in all one of the best places we have stayed and their high review scores are testament to the highest level of hospitality that they clearly strive for. Absolutely lovely people as well.

Everything was perfect

The property was superbly presented with attention to detail across all the amenities provided. We felt it had all the necessary features we needed and was so open and airy and yet totally private. The owner welcomed us on arrival and explained the special features the property has to offer. We felt his passion for the property they have created and they go the extra mile to make sure the guests are comfortable and satisfied .

The only aspect which needs improvement is the communication through booking.com while the guest is there to the owners.We received a number of messages and I thought I replied but after we left I saw that they hadn’t been received.

Was very clean and in a nice quiet location. The host was amazing, the pizza he made as well is a must try! I would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely stay again.

20 ++ we rate Richard and Marti a 20++. We were met at the door on arrival by Richard. The greeting was warm friendly and informative. We arrived needing rest and pampering. Richard and Marti had thought of everything, from lovely comfy bed and huge fluffy towels, to tasty strawberries and (naughty) scrumptious chocolate, plus lovely cooling home made beer in the fridge for us. Their attention to detail is impeccable, the whole place was perfectly managed for the guests comfort. The view from the veranda is beautiful and on our last night Richard lit a farewell fire by the pool, this was special because he cleverly had it burn all different colors for us. Seaview Oaks Beach is very central to everything you might like to do. For example going to the Daintree or Karanda for the day or lunch at Port Douglas or heading to the Cairns Night Markets. It is all a very manageable drive away. AND if you want to relax at home, just sit on the veranda and enjoy the peaceful view and listen to the birds. Then ask 'Ricardo' to make you one of his yummy Pizzas for dinner with a cool home brew. Life is good at Richard and Marti's . Thank you both so much. Carol and Luke XOXO We will be back

Nothing not to like. Great stay, Just not long enough.

Richard and Marti are absolute stars! My partner and I were fortunate enough to stay here for our wedding suite! Richard was kind enough to leave us a bottle of his very delicious homebrew beer. They are quite honestly the best hosts ever and we have had some great hosts in our travels. Richard lit the torches for us, so that we had light when we returned from our journey's and on our last night, lit the most magical fire! Just a wow from us! Richard and Marti are absolutely delightful and their love and passion for their beautiful home is certainly apparent. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for the great stay. Jess and Rob
