Deluxe Capital Street Stay for 12

Good location, huge apartment.

No check-in after 8:30PM. Wi-fi does not work. No heating on floor one (living room).

Capital Street Lodge is located close to several restaurants and grocery stores. The actual apartment is quite beautiful and spacious and oversees a courtyard with a few art galleries on the other side of the building. The kitchen had most of the amenities necessary (stove, fridge, coffee machine, kettle and utensils). It's about 8-10 minutes by bike to Antwerp Central or 20-25 minutes by walk (one-way)

It is absolutely necessary that you make it to the key pickup before 8.30 pm. You will not hear from the property at all if you are late or planning to be late and will give up a night's stay. I know the timings are listed in the fine-print, but with a delayed flight that was entirely out of my control, I just couldnt make it before 8.30 pm and had to make a reservation elsewhere for a night's stay. And of course, I couldnt pick up my keys till 2 pm the next day although I had already paid for that night. So unless you are absolutely sure you WILL be there in time, do NOT book this place. Especially if you have kids. Also keep in mind you will have a 10 minute walk to pick up the keys assuming you arrive at Antwerp Central and then another 20-25 minute walk to the apartment. And it is a 20-25 minute walk one-way to Antwerp Central station so do not plan on rolling luggage. With a backpack, you should be fine. By bike, it's about 8-10 minutes. While the place appeared clean, there was some evidence that the property managers did not do a good job. There was a half bottle of juice on the mantel.

The apartment is 2 minutes from the town hall. Shops and a supermarket are nearby. But it's a 15-minute walk to the train station. The kitchen has coffee and tea, as well as spices. The apartment has three floors, a kitchen on the second floor, bedrooms downstairs and upstairs. There is a bath and a shower. 2 toilets but very small.

Wi-Fi signal is available only on the first floor. There are no knives, 2 and those small ones. There are no pans.

Perfect location in the middle of the old town. Beautiful view from the upper floor. Massive space if you're only a few travellers.

The fittings are quite worn, and it could do with hand towels for the bathroom and tea towels to dry dishes. Also (and obviously this is nothing to do with the accommodation itself) there are so many mosquitos in Antwerp - definitely get a plug-in repellent, or you will have a disturbed night.

Extremely spacious with large rooms, beds and dining romm and bathroom. Elegant fiurniture and beautiful beam structures in the roof. Within 2 minutes from the Cathedral and City Hall.
