Apartment Het Blekershuys

The location was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was large and easy to heat once the helpful cleaner provided instructions. There was good wifi and a wide range of utensils in the kitchen. It is 10 minutes walk from the main centre and there is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The parking provided by the host, although expensive, was within walking distance and straightforward to use.

There was only one toilet which was an issue for a party of 5 adults. The bathroom was on the bottom floor of the apartment which meant that anyone sleeping upstairs had to come downstairs to go to the toilet. There were no condiments available in the apartment. No sugar, tea, coffee, water, milk etc. I have travelled a lot and when these are provided I feel that the host has gone the extra mile.

Excellent location not far from the centre of town adjacent to the many canals & nearby Kings Bridge, super traditional accommodation, great facilities throughout, plenty of room, social space - open plam lounge diner for everyone - good variety of bedrooms. Lovely feel. Adequate bathrooms & kitchen. Very useful & safe & secure private car park space nearby in underground car park 100 metres away. Useful two person lift to beat the many stairs to get up & down the place , especially with your luggage. Beautiful outlook. Very quiet. Useful corner shop 50 metres away. Nearby little pub almost opposite is awesome though check its opening times.... wonderful - much like the rest of Bruges ;0)

Nothing major but there are lots of stairs to consider (its a genuine traditional property after all - its a 2 floor apartment on the second floor) and there is only one toilet on the premises which is downstairs from the majority of the bedrooms which are upstairs. It would be perfect if it had two toilets (one upstairs & one downstairs) considering the amount of people who can stay here in one go.... this was not a major issue for us on our occasion with seven people.... but at night & especially with older guests & younger children this could be an issue.... overall though - nothing major to worry about ;0)

Good location with large size rooms

No clothes washing machine or dryer. Parking arrangements were confusing.

Prior to attending, communication from the host was very good and responses to questions I had were speedy. On arrival, the property was very well maintained and cleanliness was to a high standard throughout. There were games and books if you preferred to stay in and a view from the main window which looked out across the canal was wonderful. Information was available (in different languages) for the many sightseeing attractions in the area and beyond. Parking for one car was available around 2 minutes walk away (literally around the corner).

Stairs to the upstairs apartment were a little steep although, this was mitigated by the fact that there is a lift available. I genuinely cannot think of anything else that could be described as a negative.

Just some minor points - no mirrors in the bedrooms; only being provided with 2 loo rolls; more info in English about things to do and/or where to go locally for breakfast or dinner

Location was excellent and apartment spacious.

Just 1 toilet between 7 adults 🙁. Unfortunately, the drains outside the apartment absolutely stank and lots of gnats I’m the night, needed insect spray as we were bitten quite badly.
