Griffin Apartments Kingston

The location was very convenient. The garden areas provided an oasis from the usual street views and softened traffic noise. Maund bedroom and living space great.

The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were hot and stuffy. Ceiling fans would have been beneficial.

The location was great.

The communication about the key safe code on the day before was not ideal as I was travelling to Australia on the day it was sent. Another issue was the building works that were around the place, this made it quite uncomfortable to beat the jetlag

extremely helpful and courteous office staff. Garden grounds well maintained - gym clean and serviceable - good location.

Two things let the property managing company down. The cleaning in the unit; there was recycling rubbish that the last tenant tucked in a cupboard, an old used wound pad and other rubbish next to the bed and the rug had food scraps that had not been vacuumed up between guests, bathroom floors and bench tops not cleaned of old spilt soap and body hair. The second was the lack of attention in presentation; the dining table rug is ripped and fraying, the bottom of bed ensembles have no covering over the old and faded mattress bases, the wall clock is dead, the balcony doors tracks are filthy. All together it just means it’s an ok budget place but the company is marketing this property as something in the higher bracket - which it’s not.

The location was fabulous, quiet and close to an amazing supermarket and numerous food options. The apartment was large and comfortable, with everything needed for a short (or long) stay. Beds were great, washing machine and dryer in the unit and a lovely balcony. Be advised that if you have a car roof capsule or similar, you won’t be able to drive into the carpark due to the incline leading in. There is a paid carpark ($4/day I believe) and some street parking.

The apartment is on the older side of things and some maintenance and deep cleaning would be of benefit. The wifi access wasn’t great, and unfortunately regular network access is patchy too.

Property was very nice and the layout suited us very well.

Only gripe was that the dishwasher was out of order.

Lots of detail but they forgot to send a message with the code, which they were supposed to do on the date of arrival. I had to ring the emergency number to get code for the appropriate safe to obtain the keys.

No remote controls for the two televisions. No way to access them.
