Great hospitality of the host. Nice location, close to main tourist attractions. Very convenient for people with own car.

One disadvantage is air force base location close the the city. It may have a noise during flight days.

The studio flat was thoughtfully designed, providing both privacy and comfort for our family. My wife and I had our own space, and our daughter had her own area as well. While the flat didn't offer a particular view, the exceptional service we received more than made up for it. The owner, Mr. Peter, was an absolute gem. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, taking the time to show us around the flat and explain how to use all the appliances. His dedication to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable was nothing short of a five-star experience.

The place located perfectly, 7 min walk to the train station platform. It’s also a very well equipped room, we managed to cook our dinner everyday nicely. The host also shared some travel tips and recommendations, and these recommendations are stunning! It was absolutely a great surprise and great stay for us.

Meiringen was a delight & this apartment was the perfect place to stay. Very helpful host - met us from the train & explained everything - even patiently sorted out the complication of my having messed up the booking details! Kitchen very well equipped. Loft apartment gave us lovely views of mountains (& waterfalls) on each side. Those staying in the town get a card that gives free use of local buses & the cable-car as far as Reuti, which made walking in the hills a bit easier - also gave discounts on entry to other nearby attractions which helped offset the expensiveness of everything generally.

There are a lot of stairs, but on balance I'd choose to be in the attic for the better views. If you have limited mobility, you might feel differently! Both bedrooms are in the eaves, so have limited headroom - however, again, I would say it's a price worth paying for the lofty position. Only real inconvenience was that the washing machine is on the ground floor, shared with other guests, which meant that we washed by hand instead.

We had an excellent stay at Peter's place. Peter is very friendly and helpful. He gave us 4 guest cards that gave us discounts to local attractions. Peter was kind to give us 2 separate portable beds so my 2 teenagers don't have to sleep on 1 sofa bed. The apartment was very big and comfortable. The kitchen was large and extremely well equipped with nespresso machine, normal coffee machine, water cooker, stove, microwave, toaster, and all the kitchen accessories you can think of. Peter even gave us nespresso cups, filter coffee, cooking oil, and cleaning supplies. Basically, everything that we needed was there. The apartment is situated on a quiet street, next to the main street with Coop and Migros supermarkets at a walking distance, lots of restaurants nearby. We had a great view of the mountains from our windows.
