Casa Bacoba

Great stay for travellers needing a night in town by the airport. Host was friendly and made us feel welcome and was willing to assist us with anything we needed.

No hot water how ever this is quite normal in Colombia and a learning curve for me to check facilities at property’s in Colombia!

Spacious

Very friendly and helpful owner. The apartment is modern and clean. We spent a night there to get to the airport early in the morning and it was perfect for that - the location is of course not a typical tourist location, but we felt safe and you can walk to the beach (where you will find a couple of restaurants) and to the airport (there is also a bus). From the rooftop terrace (shared by both units) you can watch the airplanes taking off. The sleeping room does not have a window which in fact helped with the noise.

The owner was lovely with good communication, and the place has a lot of potential. Laundry was very convenient. Large apartment with rooftop access. close to the airport.

Wifi and service: NO WIFI, I understand that there was a problem with the connection, but there should have been some sort of compensation for this. I had to buy data, and even then the connection was so poor inside the property that I had to leave the property for connection. Cleanliness: there was hair and some garbage in the shower, no toilet paper, toilet seat was dirty, it really looked like the bathroom had not been cleaned.

We got a whole apartment for ourselves for a very good price for one night. Decent bed and bathroom. Very clean. Has Aircon and two fans. 5min by taxi from the airport Santa Marta. Taxi was also provided by Casa Bacoba. They were very helpful! Restaurants few minutes away from the property, you can also order Rappi if you want to.

I think the neighborhood is alright, but if you need to leave to the dark in the airport I would still recommend taking a taxi.

I loved this place - the kitchen had everything you needed, the rooftop has a mountain and an ocean view. Everything was new and clean. Tv has Netflix and great internet Walking distance to the airport (15-20min) or a short taxi ride.

nothing bad to say about this experience. just to note that it is convenient to the airport and so suited us perfectly for one night but possibly not an area to spend an extended period of time.
