La Casa Bonita

The host Marielos (and her adorable dogs) were so kind and welcoming. Marielos was able to give us recommendations and breakfast was by far the best we had in Costa Rica!

A very friendly welcome and the host is always approachable and available. huge living room / kitchen with beautiful views.

The welcome of our host who was very nice and kind, the apartment is very big and bright, very quiet , nice panoramic views, many colibrì around us, the dogs in particular the black labrador Laika. Breakfast is huge and very nice.

Everything was perfect!

La Casa Bonita is a fabulous little apartment, just 15 minutes walk from the main town of Santa Helena, so it’s really peaceful while being close enough to town to not require spending lots of money on taxis!. Maria Luce is a wonderful host, friendly and helpful and her breakfasts are delicious! The apartment is spotless with huge windows to keep an eye out for wildlife while you are relaxing! Maria’s dogs are super friendly too so it really was like a home from home. There were no problems with organised tours / shuttles collecting us from here either which was a bonus. There’s a supermarket just a few mins walk away too.

- the view is astonishing - breakfast is great - 3 min walk to a supermarket & 15-20 min walk to the town center - the host, Marioles, is very kind and helpful in recommending tours, restaurants, and assisting us with transportation - Marioles’ dogs are super cute

- it can get really windy at night - if you have large luggages, the dirt road downhill go the property can be a challenging walk

The cabin was very clean and has the basic amenities for a comfortable stay. Marielos and Gabriela were great hosts. Breakfast was great as well. Love the big windows overlooking the valley.

Wifi started and stopped - great when it was working.

Breakfast was delicious and delivered to the house. We enjoyed the space and the views from the large windows. The location was great - just a short drive to town.
