Chalet Felderhof

Great location, handy for train station, ski bus and supermarkets. The chalet had everything we needed

Nothing really. Would have been nice to have been supplied with enough toilet paper and soap for our stay.

Located in the middle of everything. Literally minutes from the train station and grocery store. Large 2 bedrooms , family area and seperate kichen-dining area. Well stocked modern kitchen appliances and a free to use laundry on site. Free wifi and TV .

It is centrally located.

The property is somewhat of a facade and operated on an automated concept - no staff on hand, just numerous internet instructions. The advertisement of the property contained a statement that the property did not have an elevator. However, there was not information that available rooms were on the 4th. and 5th. floors with 77 steps to be negotiated to get to the 5th. floor with luggage. We learn of this fact upon our arrival. The internet instructions included even how to disposal of your own garbage and where to buy extra garbage bags, if needed. The interior of our lodging gave the impression of a new renovated establishment which I believe it was. Options to also use the small room as a breakfast nook with support items to facilitate breakfast, but no way to clean the plates and utensils after the first use. If a guest or guests are over six feet in height it will be difficult to use the bathroom shower or sink without bending to avoid the angled ceiling. The size of the living area didn’t provide an area to hang clothing except on wall and door pegs. We made do because we had no other choice and we, in our 80’s, climbed the 77 steps every time we left the room for 3 days and 4 nights. Management of the establishment accessed the funds from our credit card company shortly after the confirmation the room had been rented. Needless to say, we would not recommend dealing with Chalet Felderhof and its apparent association with Hotel Post. JL

Very close to the station, clean and spacious apartment with a very well furnished kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful.

No microwave. Very close to the Gornergrat Bahn, the full building was shaking when the train passes, but fortunately trains don’t run at night, so it was not so disturbing. Checkout at 9 am is very tight, moving it to at least 10 would make the last day less stressful.

Location was good it was spacious.

The cleaning services were not available but it was available for charges
