Tapirus Playa

Centrally located within walking distance to everything. Wonderful sea view from balcony and top bedroom window. Very comfortable bed and great towels. Complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated.

Stairway to bedroom upstairs was a bit harsh on bare feet.

Sehr netter Gastgeber der uns im Vorfeld bereits eine Tour organisiert hat. Sehr nah an der Bootsankunft- bzw. Ablegestelle gelegen. Sehr gute Ausstattung.

Nichts

Nous avons beaucoup aimé passer notre nuit au Tapirus Playa. Vincent est très à l’écoute et accueillant, il nous a rendu plusieurs services, un grand merci! L’emplacement était parfait: proche de la plage principale de Drake Bay et très belle vue sur celle-ci.

Great view to the sea from the balcony from both floors. It is a well equipped and great location, just opposite of the supermarket and agencies for snorkeling and nighttours.

The room was very nice, the view was right on the water and the owner arranged a parking space for us while we were in Corcovado for an overnight stay. He also stopped by to ensure that everything was ok for us since we were there during a storm and everyone had lost power.

Most of the things we didn't like were weather-related and exacerbated by the rain, not the owner's fault. The power was out the entire night up until we left. The steps leading to the entrance were made of dirt and therefore muddy and slippery.

The apartment is well located and clean, has a kind of private but not secure parking and the AC and Wifi are working great. However, we paid 200 euro/night in low season for three nights in total with a party of four. That being said, we think there were quite a few relatively small things missing that could have made a big difference. Especially considering the price we paid. For instance, there are no blinding curtains (sun rises at 5:30am). The promised toiletries didn’t really meet up to our expectations either, a small peace of soap and two miniature conditioners were all we got (mind you, for 3 days for 4 people). Kitchen is relatively well equipped with pots and pans, a coffee maker and a microwave. But there is no kettle to make a cup of tea and basic things like salt, pepper and oil are missing (tea, coffee and sugar were there). Also two wine glasses and two mugs for a 4 people apartment seems a bit spare. The only table and chairs to sit and eat are the balcony furniture so when it’s too hot to sit outside you have your dinner on the bed? Overall quite some things missing, which can be acceptable, but not for this price. There are plenty of other accommodations nearby that offer way better value for money. For the extra mugs and cutlery we messaged the owner and he was very friendly and brought us everything within a couple of hours. He also responded very fast.
