FlipFlop City Center Apartment

Good location.

We arrived to the apartment at exactly 3 (the earliest check-in time) and our key wasn’t in the designated lock box. I contacted the property immediately and they took 15 minutes to even reply and they had no idea where our key was. Later it turned out that the property hasn’t even been cleaned for some reason and at this moment they couldn’t let us know how much time it was going to take to sort this out. After waiting for almost an other hour (mind you it is Cyprus in the middle of the day, it was almost 40 degrees celsius), the cleaning lady arrived and trying to be helpful she recommended that we come back in 30 (?!) minutes because the apartment will be ready by then. We chose to stay and waited for another 45 minutes before we could actually enter the apartment. Needless to say, it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, later we have found body hair and trash from the previous tenant, the bathroom had a strange smell, there was no cold water, and you could hear literaly every noise from the street. They offered no compensation whatsoever.

It was perfect for 3 persons, a family can fit comfortably, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, they forgot to leave extra sheets for the couch but we wrote them and they sorted it out in 2 hours, they have also a WhatsApp chat in case you need help or have questions. It was 5 minutes walk to the City center and 5 minutes walk to the beach, near by is also a fast food, a bar with biliard on the other side, restaurants and shops for gift, the Internet worked ok. It is at the first floor. There are also some grocery shops near by. The washing machine worked well. Air-conditioning in both rooms, there is an extra button which you can use so you have water pressure for the shower.

The building was in construction, the balcony could not be used due to the dust from the street and construction, we could not leave outside the clothes to dry. Was a very noisy street, so if you sleep light would not recomand as even with closed windows you could hear everything. When we arrived the cleaning lady just left, she was very polite but the bathroom was not the cleanest.

Flat is not easy to find, no free parking. Generally rooms are OK, hard mattress, have an iron, tv, washing machine.

Bathroom!! I have travelled a world and not a fuss usually about a place but bathroom is really bad. Firstly, shower is missing a door, so water is running everywhere. Shower doesn't have a hock so you have to hold it. Mold is everywhere. I had to wear flip flops always even in a shower. I visit Cyprus often and it was honestly worst place I have ever stayed. No hair dryer only empty box. Found a stain and hair on bedroom sheets.

Close to the beach and quite central

We boooked for 3 people but there was only one bed for two. We had to sleep like sardines in a can the first day and when asked to bring us extra bedding they said they had no duvet for us. We had to use the AC to warm up the room in oder to sleep because it was still cold outside.

It was a good location, the bed was nice

The facilities was abysmal. There wasn't even soap or shower gel provided. We had to buy so many things that should have been included. The only covers that were available was only a comforter. No extra sheets, no blankets and the a/c on heat didn't work. My partner had to change the filters alone and they were in a terrible condition. Part of the shower door was missing thus a pool was created each time any of us took a shower. There was only a pair of towels for a six day stay of two people. The TV had no channels only netflix and there wasn't an account on. We had to create an account to watch a movie. All in all, a nice apartment but not a very nice experience.
