Sunny Day Holiday Apartment

Location (10 mins away from train station) - Size of rooms (very spacious) - Price (I think cheaper than hotels nearby but I highly recommend checking the prices before you really chose to stay here. This should be your last option.)

Very unresponsive host. We were scheduled to arrive early morning so I messaged the host 2 weeks in advance if he could let us in for early check in. I would have not minded if the host said no since it is indeed a special request but the host did not answer my text at all. I messaged him 2 weeks in advance, then a week after, then a few days after, then the day before the flight; all my text messages went unanswered. He only answered on the morning of the check in day where he said we are only allowed to enter at 3 pm. If he answered beforehand, I could have placed our luggage at the train storage and visited a nearby place saving us time in our journey where time is limited. - No ventilation fan in toilet. If you are using it for long toilet (number 2) your options are the train station, mall nearby or public toilet. Last resort is opening the toilet door and notifying your party members. - Foul smell in living room (possibly sewer smell). Unfortunately the living room is where the dining table is placed so imagine having your dinner with the unpleasant smell.

WiFi didn't work No hot water after dark until morning. We showered in the evening using heated water from a kettle put into a saucer and using drinking cup. Heaters didn't work. No response from the owners after checking-in what so ever to discuss above issues. Tried multiple methods whatsapp, calling etc. The pillows were not comfortable as almost no cushion in them.

bathroom was badly maintained, 1 rooms window was broken so it was very cold........no heater facility.......no proper balnkets provided for the cold Switzerland has.......entrance of the building was dirty.........host not responsive at all......many more reasons too...

Great location (close to train station and the main town), felt safe, very close to the supermarket, and lots of appliances (including hair dryer, microwave, oven, stove etc.). Staff communication was great with quick response time and lots of detail to help us check in.

Towels were not clean (smelled quite bad, not something we usually notice but just need new ones) and overall musky smell in the apartment. Lack of cleaning supplies given the request to clean the kitchen at the end of our stay.

The accommodation is in a good location, located very close to Interlaken West train station.

The accomodation js very basic and the pillows were terrible. The place could be made so much nicer with very little effort.
